The Place of Safety Podcast
In 2018 I launched a facebook group designed to support and connect former members of the Worldwide Church of God, with an aim to provide the same kind of moderation and leading to the group that might be found in a counselling group. Unfortunately my own disconnection with facebook as a platform got in the way of being a strong leader of the group, but the desire to provide connection and foster deep and healthy conversation never went away. Recently, a good friend and fellow former WCG-er Jessica Pratezina and I have discussed creating some podcasts on various topics – towards the same end. The current COVID19 crisis sparked our first opportunity to sit down and make it real.
We introduce to you the first of what we hope will be many conversations about the impacts WCG had, and continues to have, on the lives of those who were its members.
